What this is: contribution margin — what a case clears after its variable costs. It does not include overhead, rent, salaried labor, or taxes, so "profitable" here means the case covers its own direct costs, not that the business is net-profitable. Percentage layers are taken off gross wholesale and stack additively (real distributor deals sometimes compound off-invoice — treat this as a clear-eyed estimate, not a contract). Freight, slotting, demo, and samples are entered as dollars per case.
